We are looking for a Senior Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer for electric/hybrid vehicles with electro/mechanical capability.

Responsibilities include :
- Development, diagnostic, and testing of electric vehicle control software. System integration of electric vehicle related hardware and functionality testing.
- Development of Battery Management Systems for High Voltage EV.
- MCU, BMS, VCU CAN interface communications protocol development.
- Data collection of electric vehicle traction systems.
- Analysis of data, recommendations for improvements and implementation of improvements for performance.

Minimum qualifications:
- MS Engineering with 5 years relevant industry experience or BSEE, ME or Computer Engineering with 8 years of automotive industry experience.
- Experience with safety critical embedded software development practices and process.
- Vehicle power train systems integration experience.

Preferred qualifications/skills:
- Vehicle powertrain systems integration experience including one or more of the following: battery management system, VCUs, chargers, pedal mapping and filtering, drive units, thermal systems, electrical power systems and chassis dynamometer.
- Mechanically inclined. Able to perform vehicle installations.
- Electric/hybrid vehicle control software background.
- Experience with at least one programming language; Visual Basic C, C++ and/or Python a plus.
- CAN based analysis tools, including Vector Products (CANcase:XL Logger, CANalyzer)
- Computer-aided design tools for simulation, such as MATLAB/Simulink a plus.
- Understand the fundamental aspects of microprocessors/DSPs and the development tools.
- Understanding of code review process, code coverage analysis, source control aspects of the software development process. ISO26262 knowledge a plus.
- Understanding of basic electronics circuitry; Able to do circuit board layout and design.
- Excellent communication skills; Self-starter.
- Able to travel up to 10% domestic and international.

We are looking for a Vehicle Motor Controls Engineer with broad experience in electric/hybrid vehicles with strong traction motor controls background for AC Induction and PM type motors.

Responsibilities include :
- Controls development, diagnostics, and testing of electric vehicle motor controls.
- PM and IM motor simulation experience using Finite Element Electro Magnetic analysis a plus.
- Assure traction motor and inverter meet performance requirements via controls algorithm development and implementation.
- Experience with optimization of motor controls via testing and data collection using a Matlab Simulink or similar with hand coding capability.
- Experience with dynamometer testing and interpretation of data output for controls improvement.
- Documentation of results and recommendations for performance improvement.
- Documentation of controls requirements.

Minimum qualifications:
- MS Engineering with 1 to 3 years relevant industry experience or BSEE, ME or Computer Engineering of automotive industry experience.
- Understanding of slip control and indirect field oriented control of induction motors.
- Understanding of field-oriented control of Surface-PM and Interior-PM motors.
- Experience and application of analytical control system theory to automotive applications.
- Experience with various PWM schemes including Sinusoidal and Space-Vector Modulation.
- Capability of delivering high-quality C code in an embedded microcontroller environment.
- Exposure to PowerPC MCU and TI DSP.
- Understanding of variable switching frequency controls using IGBTs in automotive applications.
- System-oriented understanding of thermal management, vehicle-level torque control, efficiency optimization, and firmware integration for electric-drive trains.

Preferred qualifications/skills:
- Proficient in embedded C language in real-time environments.
- Proficient in development and testing of device drivers for CAN, SPI, SCI, I2C, ADC, etc.. Electric/hybrid vehicle control software back ground a plus.
- Exposure to at least one scripting language; Python a plus.
- Experience with CAN based analysis tools and protocols such as CANalyzer.
- Experience with computer-aided design tools for simulation, such as Excel, PSPICE, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Understanding of embedded software development tools, including memory model, interrupt structure and compiler/linker optimization.
- Experience with software change management and code reviews.
- Proficient in troubleshooting intermittent problems involving communicating subsystems. Understanding of basic electronics circuitry; be able to operate basic electronics instruments for board level testing; High voltage testing experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; Self-starter.
- PhD in related topic a plus.
- Able to travel up to 10% domestic and international.

We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with broad experience in power electronics and motor drive control.

Responsibilities include :
- Circuit design, analysis, prototyping and testing of high voltage power electronics (motor drives, dc-dc converters and battery chargers).
- Researching and specifying electrical components, schematic drawing, PCB layout, design for environmental and EMI/EMC certification process and interfacing with other functional teams within the organization.
- Controls/Software development for inverter, charger, and DC to DC converters experience.
- Design inverter, charger, and DC to DC converters topologies.

Minimum qualifications:
- MSEE with 3 years industry experience or BSEE, ME or Physics with 6 years of industry experience.
- Deep knowledge of IGBT and MOSFET power and drive circuits and control system design.
- Experience with design, analysis and test of high voltage switch-mode power supplies, battery chargers and/or motor inverters.
- Experience with magnetics design (transformers and inductors) and power electronics thermal analysis.
- Experience with computer-aided design tools for simulation, schematic and PCB design.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC mechanisms and mitigation.
- Understanding of design for manufacturing principles.
- Understanding of electrical safety and environmental standards and certification process.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to travel up to 10% domestic and international.

Preferred qualifications/skills:
- Experience with electric vehicles and/or automotive products is a plus. Embedded processor h/w and s/w design is a plus.
- MatLab-Simulink.
- Altium circuit design.
- Circuit Simulation: spice.
- Programming Languages: C, Assembler, Visual C++.
