1996-2019 EV drive system pioneer R&D

1996

AC Propulsion (ACP) developed Tzero, named “The God Father of Electric Vehicle”

2004

ACP licensed TZERO™ patented technologies to Tesla. Namely the copper induction motor technology and discrete power module approach.

2009

ACP worked with BMW Group , provided drive systems and battery systems for the Mini-E program. The first EV program worldwide.

2012

ACP worked with Beiqi Foton, provided drive systems and battery systems for Midi-EV. The first E-taxi program in China.

2018

ACP worked with DesignWerk, a Volvo Commercial Vehicle group subsidiary, providing drive systems for heavy duty commercial vehicles.
Company History

2020-Now Industrialization

2020

Volume Production started for DesignWerk. 200kW SiC inverter has been assembled in Ampaire hybrid airplane and flew successfully.

2021

E.Motor SuZhou(China) 300,000 module capacity/100,000 inverter capacity automated production line was completed, which is compatible with the production of IGBT and SiC products.

2023

Started 70kW inverter volume production for Changan pickup program. Nidec commercial group signed purchase agreement with US.

2023

Work with Volvo-CPAC R&D group for future Volvo electric truck platform.

2024

Eight of our 300kW SiC inverters have been assembled in Geely Aerofugia electrical plane and flew successfully;

2025

In preparation for DesignWerk SiC drive system production Q4; In preparation for Longxin ATV volume production Q4; In preparation for Nidec volume production Q4
